Greetings from Costas S. Patrickios,
Chair, Polymer Networks Group.
Welcome to the website of the Polymer Networks Group (PNG). I am Costas S. Patrickios, the current Chair of PNG, and Professor of Chemistry at the University of Cyprus in Nicosia, Cyprus.
First of all, I wish that you and your families are healthy and doing well.
Sciences and technologies on polymer networks grow rapidly, covering not only fundamental chemistry and physics, but also biology, pharmacy, medicine and agriculture. Founded in 1975, PNG is an independent international organization for the promotion of international contacts and stimulation of research in the important field of polymer networks. This is mainly done through PNG biannual meetings, which, during the past five decades, have brought into contact a large number of scientists and engineers from many countries, and stimulated scientific exchange all over the world.
I take the opportunity to bring to your attention the next PNG meeting, PNG 2026 (website will be available in early 2025), that will take place in Dresden, Germany, from the 21st to 25th of June, 2026, and we expect to welcome you there. The venue will be at the Deutsches Hygiene Museum in Dresden, which offers a nice environment in the heart of Dresden midway between the old town and the largest park in town and in walking distance from the banks of the Elbe river and the central train station. The town itself is famous for its magnificent architecture and arts providing a nice atmosphere for extended discussions in the evening.
See you in Dresden in June 2026!
Best wishes,
Prof. Costas S. Patrickios
